The different approaches that have emerged in the field of Strategic Management to explain the determinants of business success have given rise to a considerable body of knowledge, both theoretical and empirical. This book aims to enrich the bibliographical analysis of the discipline by (1) delimiting the different theories that have addressed the field of Strategic Management and (2) analyzing in depth the two currently predominant theories, the Dynamic Capabilities-Based View of the Firm (DCV) and the Knowledge-Based View of the Firm (KBV).
